The mission of Front Line is to protect, defend, support and act for human rights defenders whose lives and/or physical and mental health is at risk, either temporarily or permanently, because of their activities. Front Line seeks to provide rapid and practical support to at-risk human rights defenders, including through a 24 hour emergency response phone line, and to promote the visibility and recognition of human rights defenders as a vulnerable group.

Statewatch provides news, features and analyses in the fields of civil liberties and the state, justice and home affairs, accountability and openness in the EU, backed up by full-text documentation so that people can access primary sources for themselves and come to their own conclusions.
