CEPS (the Centre for European Policy Studies) www.ceps.eu
CEPS is a leading think tank in the European Union, performing a unique role as an independent analyst and critic of the European policy. One of the aims of the Justice and Home Affairs Section of CEPS is to ensure that the principles of the EU – the protection of fundamental and human rights, the respect for rule of law and the protection of democracy – are fully and faithfully implemented in the sensitive fields of immigration, asylum, policing and judicial cooperation in criminal matters.
Zennström Philanthropies supports the work of CEPS on European Union policy on immigration.
Migreurop www.migreurop.org
Migreurop is a Euro-African network of NGOs, researchers and activists which aims to promote and defend the fundamental rights of migrants, in particular those who are detained, deprived of liberty or subject to restrictions on their freedom of movement in countries of which they are not citizens. Migreurop also documents the location of detention centres for migrants, making the “invisible” visible and improving protection of their human rights.
Zennström Philanthropies provides support to Migreurop’s campaign for a right of access to centres where migrants are detained.
